The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29 southbound north of Interchange 10 in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a tractor-trailer was traveling south when it sideswiped another tractor-trailer, struck a BMW SUV and subsequently overturned on a Jeep, according to New Jersey State Police.
No serious injuries were reported on the scene, and the crash remains under investigation, State Police said.
All lanes were blocked, 511nj.org reported.
